Obituaries

Edward Johnson, affectionately known as "Mr. Ed", passed away on July 31st, 2023 in North Little Rock, AR at the age of 84. He was born on June 23rd, 1938 in Cumberland, TN to his late parents, Billy T. and Anne E. Johnson. Ed worked at Memphis International Airport with United Airlines for several years. He had previously lived on Main Street in Little Rock, where he would ride his ten-speed bike daily to North Little Rock and back.

Ed was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in North Little Rock, where he served as a trustee and usher and volunteered for numerous projects, including the construction of the new church building.

Ed loved to travel across the country on his Honda Gold wing, feeling the wind on his face and the warmth of the sun on his skin. He will be deeply missed by his only child, Velma McNeal (Brandon), his grandchildren, Wendy (Donny) Danee Martin, Robert (Angel) Adrian, Cam, and Jacob O'Neill, and his great-grandchildren, Katy and Jesse.

Edward was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth, and his second wife, Erma. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Old Forge Manor for their exceptional care and support, as well as to all those who have offered their prayers and condolences during this difficult time.
